Can bind be extended to be compiled with the option '--enable-fixed-rrset' to the configure script?

Issue

The bind package in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 is not build with the --enable-fixed-rrset option which makes the order of IPs handed out by DNS roundrobin configurable.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6
  • bind package, versions older than 9.8.2-0.10.rc1
