Does GFS support TRIM/DISCARD commands for thin-provisioned storage in RHEL 5?

Redhat cluster with GFSv1 when it was installed had shared
thick provisionedLun from IBM v7k storage and now it is moved to athin provisionedlun. -
After the change the filesystem usage is showing only 1% and storage side it is 80% consumed.
The issue is with discards - on the OS it shows us 99% FS free but on the storage side it is 80% consumed
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 with the Resilient Storage Add On
- GFS
- Thin-provisioned storage
