Failure to install RHOCP 4 cluster while configuring a GCP Project for Shared VPC in OpenShift Container Platform 4

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

OpenShift Container Platform cluster deployment is failing when using a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Shared VPC. This is typically due to insufficient or incorrect permissions configured for the service account that OpenShift uses within the Shared VPC host project.

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform cluster 4 [RHOCP]
  • Shared Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
