Configure image-registry with Custom S3 Storage and Self-Signed Certificates in RHOCP4

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Customers using self-signed certificates for custom S3 storage in OpenShift face challenges due to the lack of an option to skip TLS verification. The config.image object mandates specifying a trustedCA, making it impossible to connect to custom S3 storage without it.

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP) 4
  • On-premise S3 Storage
