Tomcat 9 support in JBoss Web Server?

Issue

  • Is there any plan to support tomcat-9 in JWS 5.x after 2027?
  • As per the notes in JBoss Web Server Support Policy, Red Hat JBoss Web Server (JWS ) 5.x has Support ending by July/2025.Since JWS 6.x only offers Tomcat 10.1.x, does the above statement means Red Hat is stopping the Tomcat 9.0.x offering by Jul/2025?
  • Since Tomcat 9.0.x is do not have any EOL/Sunset given by ASF Tomcat community, are there any reason why RedHat wish to stop the Tomcat 9 offering?
  • Is there any ELS-2 phase going to be available for tomcat-9.x in JWS-5.x?
