Yum fails with 'Curl error (77): Problem with the SSL CA cert path? access rights?' on the system registered with the CDN

Issue

• Yum repolist or yum makecache return with the following error message:

  Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'cert-1-for-rhel-9-x86_64-rpms':
  
  - Curl error (77): Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?) for https://cdn.redhat.com/content/dist/layered/rhel9/x86_64/cert/1/os/repodata/repomd.xml [error setting certificate file: %(ca_cert_dir)sredhat-uep.pem]
