How to upload qcow2 image either using the console or the virtctl in Openshift?

Issue

  • Uploading image using command line fails with error:
$  virtctl image-upload dv myvol --size=40Gi  --image-path=RHEL8.qcow2 --insecure                                                                                                                                           
PVC openshift-virtualization-os-images/myvol not found
DataVolume openshift-virtualization-os-images/myvol created
Waiting for PVC myvol upload pod to be ready...
timed out waiting for the condition
