"Text-like" files (such as C source and shell scripts) may not print to a text-only printer in RHEL
Issue
- CUPS may not print files with
.pextension. These files are progress 4gl files. The error msg islp: unsupported format application /x- c source. - You may not be able to print C-language source files to a text-only printer.
- I tried to print using
lpand it gives me an error "lp: Unsupported format 'application/x-shell'!".
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5, 6, and 7
- "Textonly" printer
