sssd_be process respawn results in failed LDAP logins on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

Issue

• We have a production server using sssd with OpenLDAP as the credential repository. Periodically, the sssd_be process terminiates and then restarts at which point we are unable to login to the server using credentials from LDAP. We are still able to login using local accounts. Users are able to login again after restarting the sssd service.
