"Kernel: BUG soft lockup" errors on an RHEL6 NFS client after NFSv4 server became inaccessible
Issue
The system is configured to use autofs over NFSv4.
We had an issue with our NFS servers this morning and subsequently, this box started issuing soft lockup messages some two hours later.
The NFS server is running on a 2-node RHEL5 cluster.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.3 NFSv4 client
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 NFSv4 servers using RHEL High Availability (HA) to provide the NFS service
