[QA][5.5] How to remove RPM package from the repository of RHUI1.2

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The administrator of RHUI uploaded mistakenly wrong client configuration RPM to the repository on RHUI1.2.
  • He used the following command on the production system.
# rhua upload-client-rpm /tmp/rhui/rhui-entitlement-1.2-1.noarch.rpm
  • This wrong package doesn't have certificate of our RHUI. Thus, our unfortunate end-users who have updated this package cannot update RHEL now.

  • Please let us know the solution of this trouble. First of all, we need the way of removing updated RPM package from the repository.

  • In our test environment, we could remove RPM using the following procedure. Please check whether or not we can do it.
 # cd /mnt/content/rhui-client-updates
 # rm "wrong_rpm.rpm"
 # createrepo ./
 # rhua refresh
