Can an application change the JBoss server.log level in EAP 6?

Issue

• Few days ago the server.log size has increased substantially. From server configuration we have not changed the logging level. Can an application change the server.log level? If the answer is yes, how can we avoid this? How to force the apps should use his own log file instead server.log.
• How Can we avoid that any other app with a misconfigured logging system is capable of increase the server.log level?
