Red Hat® JBoss® Core Services Collection provides components that increase the value of JBoss Middleware products by enhancing manageability, security, scalability, and interoperability.

Select and deploy the core services that satisfy your use cases including load balancing, identification and authorization, high availability, or configuration management and monitoring. Entitlement to the collection and support for the components comes with most JBoss Middleware subscriptions. The components are tested with JBoss Middleware product releases and each component has a defined support lifecycle to enable effective long term planning and alignment across your middleware deployments.

Learn about the Core Services Collection

JBoss Operations Network

Red Hat JBoss Operations Network, a key component of the Red Hat JBoss managed offerings, provides built-in management and monitoring capabilities to effectively administer all of your Red Hat JBoss application environments, helping you improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure a positive experience for your end users.

Apache HTTP

The Apache HTTP server is the supported solution for load balancing requests across a cluster of EAP based applications using the mod_cluster or mod_jk connectors. It can also be used to serve static content for your applications and apply security before requests reach your application servers.

Red Hat Single Sign-On

Red Hat Single Sign-On (SSO) can be used to secure customer facing applications or the administrative interfaces of JBoss Middleware servers. It provides Web SSO and user federation based on SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0 specifications.

JSvc

The Core Services JSvc distribution provides users the capability to run JBoss Middleware servers as background processes as well as automatically restart failed server processes without user intervention.

Web Connectors

The Core Services Web Connectors enable users to use Microsoft IIS or Solaris iPlanet as web servers and/or reverse proxies in front of JBoss Middleware server deployments as an alternative to the Core Services Apache HTTP Server or a network device.
