Red Hat Customer Portal: What's New on April 29, 2014

Updated -

We're pleased to announce the following enhancements to our Customer Portal included with our updates published on April 29, 2014. These features, along with numerous bug fixes and minor enhancements, are now available to all users.

Minor Customer Portal Updates

The majority of our recent development work has involved laying the foundation for a few new types of content that we will share with you soon. In the meantime, here are some other updates included with our April 29 release:

  • Fixed a few bugs on our product pages.
  • Styled new banners on the blogs.
  • Enabled the Russian language in Drupal.

Wapps Updates

The Wapps team released several significant user-facing changes last week. Several impacted the customer experience:

  • If a invalid ID was entered into the standard eval URL (e.g., https://www.redhat.com/wapps/eval/index.html?evaluation_id=100000000000), the "redhat.com will be back soon" error message appeared, which indicated something was broken within the site. This was wrong and could have mislead customers. This bug is now resolved.
  • If customer has multiple different subscriptions that all have the same replacement SKU, then the support app will show the correct final quantity.
  • If a customer has an expired eval and it hasn't been 90 days after expiration before they request the same evaluation, the customer is now presented with verbiage to this effect.
  • Broken links fixed on redhat.com/activate.
