We're pleased to announce the release of Red Hat AMQ Broker 7.11 on OpenShift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. AMQ Broker is a high-performance messaging implementation based on ActiveMQ Artemis.

What's new in AMQ Broker 7.11

AMQ Broker uses the Log4j 2 logging utility instead of the JBoss Logging framework to provide message logging.
AMQ Broker 7.11 is based on ActiveMQ Artemis 2.28.
AMQ Broker 7.11 on OpenShift is supported on OpenShift Container Platform 4.9 to 4.12.

AMQ Broker 7.11 on OpenShift features and enhancements
- Change the Operator logging level
- Add login modules to secrets to use LDAP and other login modules for authentication
- Restrict automatic broker image upgrades to a specific version or version range
- Inject environment variables into broker containers
- Configure pod disruption budgets
- Enhanced status reporting in the Custom Resource for configuration applied using JAAS login modules or broker properties

AMQ Broker 7.11 on RHEL features and enhancements
- Synchronous mirroring support for disaster recovery
- Limit the disk space used to store paged messages and limit the memory used for paged message read back to memory

Deprecated features

The upgrade attribute and the associated enabled and minor attributes are deprecated in the Custom Resource Definition. Use the image or version attributes in a Custom Resource to deploy specific broker container images.
