End of Support for Node.js 8.x on December 31, 2019

Updated -

This message is to announce that Red Hat will end maintenance support for the Node.js versions 8.x runtimes on December 31, 2019 in alignment with the End-of-life schedule provided by the Node.js community.

The Node.js 8.x Maintenance LTS cycle (community) is currently scheduled to expire on December 31, 2019 to align with the scheduled End-of-Life of OpenSSL-1.0.2.

From this date forward, Node.js 8.x releases provided by Red Hat will stop receiving bug fixes, security updates, and/or performance improvements.

What does this mean?

Support, CVE Fix(s), and bug fixes for Red Hat releases of Node.js 8.x will no longer be available. If your organization is using this version, to avoid disruption you will need to upgrade to a version that is supported. Currently, Node.js 10.x and Node.js 12.x builds are available from the Red Hat Container Catalog.
